Panoxyl® Review

Panoxyl® is an acne soap bar that contains 5-10% concentration of Benzoyl Peroxide. Benzoyl Peroxide is a chemical that is used to remove excess sebum and regulate further production whilst at the same time killing bacteria.

There have been reports that Panoxyl® works and we believe that to be because of the encorporation of Banezoyl Peroxide. For an acne treatment to work it needs to do 4 things (clear excess oil, kill bacteria, unblock pores and reduce inflammation) of which Benzoyl Peroxide does 2 of them (clears excess oil and kills bacteria). For those with mild acne using benzoyl peroxide can work on it’s own but will not work as well as a conbination product that does all 4 things.

10% Benzoyl Peroxide is a high concentration of quite a potent substance and we at AcneTreatmentAdvice.org believe this to be unnecessary because test have shown that the improvement in performance from doubling the concentration from 2.5% to 5% is not worth the risk of potential skin irritation and that is even more so when doubling the concentration from 5-10%. It is best to keep the concentration at 2.5% and introduce other active ingredients to improve performance.

If you have used Benzoyl Peroxide in the past than you may have already experienced some symptoms that you may not know were caused by Benzoyl Peroxide.

However, this product is cheap and for those with mild acne and extremily robust skin it could help. However, we would recommend using our highest recommended product, Exposed, for the best performance and kindness to the skin.
